Many Things About Tomorrow, I Don't Seem To Understand

JY95, what does it mean to me?
It means belonging and friendship to me. It is never meant to be exclusive, please read on and I will explain why.

We are a group of people that shared a very long “past” together when growing up. It was a past full of happiness, joy, disagreements, laughter, tears, cares, quarrels, reconciliation etc etc and hopefully it will be a future with that too.

We cared for each other physically and spiritually through these years, We have been misunderstood in the past by people, they thought of us as a group of people who seek pleasures and group that the brothers and sisters are “too closed” together etc. This people did not know us well, others who knew us well had often encouraged us that we must keep this friendship bond close for it is important for us to have these close friends in church to encourage each other and to serve God together. Now looking back, I can boldly say that if not for this “JY95” bond, some of us may not even be in church now or even if we are, we may not be as fervent or zealous now. It was this bond that helped us to stay or focus our life in church.

We used to gather in church to study, or during holidays in church to clean up or just gather to play games etc. We would come early to church on Sabbaths (during the time no morning service yet), we would cleanup our classrooms, and before Sabbath service pray together etc. Some older bros and sis would join and encourage us during these prayers. Dn. Yeow who was still not a Dn yet the time seeing us always in church early, make an effort too and came early on Fri evenings and gave us Bible studies before the service. During school holidays, some of these brethrens will take leave and bring us out for excursions etc. Through all these activities, we have build up this bonding and this bonding encourages us to come to church and together built up our faith in the Lord.

Today as we have many more friends with us, many of you have become very close to us too, as close as any of the JY95. But I will like to ask you all to forgive us if we always mention the JY95, not because we are trying to be exclusive but because of the memories and the bond it brings to us, you can say it is a soft spot in our hearts. And should there in the future that the “JY95” goes out, please know that we are not being exclusive, just that we are out together to talk about the past. You all are AS important to us too, we all are now close and caring for each other, we had share many times together and hopefully that we will have many happy times in the future together too and all of us will remain in the grace of God.

I am not very good with words, but I hope that I have express myself well of the past of JY95 and what it means to us. But know that the future is about all of us, this us are those who are of the JY95 and those who have become close with us over the years :)

All of you are as important to me and all of you means a lot to me and I thank you for that. Let us now together strive to serve God better, and in the process become closer with each other, and in the future we can talk about our this friendships and am still glad that we all still close together and all are still in the grace of the Lord.
