Accident on the way to Batu Pahat

Went to BP last Saturday. Shi was driving with me in the front seat, Mun Fai and Brian were in the passenger seats behind.

While travelling on the North South Highway, suddenly the cars in front brake to a stop, so we had to e-brake too, and all our things that were put at the compartments between Shi and me flew toward the front of our seats, handphones, wallets, passports etc. We picked up whatever we could and did not notice that my phone is still not picked up. Then there was a massive traffic jam.

15mins of travelling slowly in the jam, Shi felt he was stepping on something, so he stick his hand to take it out from under his shoe, and it was my handphone. So he turned to face me and passed the phone to me and so we were talking about the phone been found etc, suddenly Mun Fai shouted oei oei oei, Shi and me looked up just in time to see our car knocked into the back of the car in front, luckly due to the jam we were travelling very very slow (less then 10km/hr i think) so nothing serious like people flung out of the car etc.

So both the car stopped and all of us alighted and look at the damage, the car that we knocked was a proton saga, and there was a dent at the bumper, Shi's car was worst, the side of the car buldged out thus a wide gap between the engine cover and the side. 2 ladies came out from the proton, the lady driving the car was a young girl who i think just started driving not long ago. Anyway Mun Fai discussed with them that we should just settle there and then, and it was agreed that we gave them RM150. As for Shi's car, i think the repair will be much more expensive.

All in all i thank God for His protection that no one was hurt, and as i told the rest, it could have been worse, like if it was a crash in high speed etc. Also the car in front was a proton, else it will not be so easy to settle, when we e-braked earlier on, we nearly crashed into a Singapore Mecs, so it could have been worse :) Also the car's engine etc were not affected and we were able to reach BP church then back to Singapore safely after that (though we were late for the service:)

Conclusion, we did not pray before we left singapore, so i think it is a lesson learnt that prayers for protection and guidance before we set off to do anything is very important.

Comments:
Haha, kor kor Shi did it again:)

Alibaba - Yah, thank God that no one is hurt, as i said, it could have been worse :)

Serene - Shi did it again??? you mean he crash people before? heehee

When I was in US, there was a jam towards Chicago. Then this guy in his quite big car was talking on his phone and crashed into a big truck at slow speed. The whole bumper of the car like almost came off.. so dented.. and it was really at slow speed. The truck did not seem to even have a scratch.

haha, so moral is, drive a truck? hee

Yes! Bus also can lah.. make sure the bumper is solid metal and not the flimsy fibre glass found in modern cars.

yeah go for buses and lorries and trucks or even taxis... all these cars are "undamageable".... (as experienced by... xxx)
