Went my Grandfather's place
Went to my grandpa's house 2 weekends ago during the long Hari Raya weekend.
That was the first time i stayed over nights ever since my grandfather passed away 2 years ago. I guess it is due to that if we stay over we will think of him, thats why my family has not really wanted to go there and stay. And this time when i was there, i really can feel the difference of the place without him. Not to say i do not like the place anymore, it is just it is not that meaningful and nice anymore. Because before, everytime i stay over, it was to spend more with him so that he will not feel so lonely. Well i think this is something we all have to face if we lose a love one. Life will still have to go on although it will never be the same again.
This time we went in 2 cars, Beng's and Shi's. 7 of us went, me, Yi, Qing Qing, Ling, Shi, Cheng and Beng. Its Qing's first time there and i hope she enjoyed herself.
The first thing that had to be done was to clean the place up, the building now looks rather run down and is very dirty due to nobody taking care of it. So we spent a whole afternoon making the place stayable. Ha and other than that we basically did not do anything much else. We went for a short swim, and watched Lord of the Rings Part 1 and 2, played a bit of frisbe and thats all :) rather relax trip.
Well hope next time you others can join us too :) Below are some pictures taken during this trip. did not take many this time.

hi qian, ya it is different without gonggong. but nevertheless i enjoyed the feeling of being at the place. hope that all of us do. and thanks again for organising. i think in my life now i really wish for the kind of time spent at telok sengat, a retreat for the soul and spirit; able to read quietly, reflect, relax.

Yup. Going to TS really is very good way to get away from the busyness of the city, back to a simple life.
Glad you all were able to go too, enjoyed myself alot. lets organize another sometime end of this year or beginning next...
