Keratoconus
Went for a checkup on my eyes 2 weeks ago. And found out that: Keratoconus is the name of the problem i am having with my eyes, it is a genetic disease that often appearing only in teens or early twenties. It is a progressive disease in which the normally round cornea thins and begins to bulge into a cone-like shape. This cone shape deflects light as it enters the eye on its way to the light-sensitive retina, causing distorted vision.
Because of this i had to make a pair of special made hard contact lens which is from USA and cost me S$900 :( As this is the first time i ever wear a pair of contacts, i am having lots of problem with it, my eyes keep tearing thus causing the contacts to move away from the cornea and sometimes even causing them to drop off. It happened once during choir practice last sat, suddenly i just felt that the vision of one of my eyes become blur, immediately i went to the rest room but was not able to feel the lens in my eye, then i went back to hall and had a treasure hunt at where i was sitting, haha. But could not find it, but thank God, when my sis-in-law came into the hall to look for my bro, she saw the lens on the floor near the back of the hall, hee, the lens is so small, but the hall so big still can find, really must thank God for that, else have to spend another few hundred $$...
Well i was actually quite glad to know that my vision can be help by simple using the contact lens, could be much worse :) The only thing is that i must get use to using the contacts, else also quite problematic
